Description:
This is a lexicon of Hebrew words keyed off of Strong's numbers.
The Brown–Driver–Briggs Hebrew Lexicon (or BDB) is a standard reference for Biblical Hebrew. It is organized by (Hebrew) alphabetical order of three letter roots. It is based on the Hebrew-German lexicon of Wilhelm Gesenius, translated by Edward Robinson. The chief editor was Francis Brown, with the co-operation of Samuel Rolles Driver and Charles Augustus Briggs, hence the name Brown-Driver-Briggs.
Since it first appeared in the early part of the twentieth century, BDB has been considered the finest and most comprehensive Hebrew lexicon available to the English-speaking student. BDB gives not only dictionary definitions for each word, but relates each word to its Old Testament usage and categorizes its nuances of meaning.
