Serbian Bible translated by Danicic (OT) and Karadzic (NT) in ekavian dialect
Translation of the New Testament by Vuk Karadzic was published in Vienna in 1847, and completed by the Old Testament translation by Djuro Danicic in Belgrade in 1865. Danicic translated the Old Testament himself, mostly from German sources (which possessed Old Slavonic and old Serbian texts), and also assisted Karadzic in his translation of the New Testament into Serbian in 1847. Vuks translation is made mostly from Slavonic translation from 1820. with many consultants with Luters and russian translation. After undergoing a revision, both translations were accepted and are still in current use today.
